Welcome to Reaching Valhalla, our little place in this big world where we can share our thoughts and adventures.

What we share here are not vacations – vacations are temporary – moments in time usually ending with regrets of having to return to a place we are tired of living in and a job we use to get by in life.  Instead we are sharing our life together as travelers and explorers – looking for experiences and challenges.

Life should be an adventure.

So come on!

Lets go!

I was born and raised in Indiana, USA. Land locked most of my life – my dream was to own a yacht and explore the world on my terms. Well – I raised three great kids, retired early, sold almost everything I owned, bought the boat, fell in love with the woman of my dreams. Now we are rea writing new chapters in our lives.

All who wander are not lost.

I was born in Morelia, Mexico and moved to the US at 10 years of age. I am the mother of a beautiful daughter and have had a successful career. Now love is giving us a chance to experience our dreams of new adventures. The world is a big place and we can’t wait to take you with us by sharing what we see and learn along the way.

I was designed by William Garden and built by Bluewater Yacht Builders in Taiwan in 1987.  I am 47 feet long and ketch rigged.  I circumnavigated the globe with my original owners and can’t wait for my next adventures with Tom and Maria. We cannot control the direction of the wind, adjust my sails and we will get there.

Do or do not. There is no try.
